This research is a <em>quasi<\/em><em> experiment<\/em> with pretest-posttest control group design. The research population is all of grade X MIA MAN 1 Malang year 2016\/2017. The research samples are X MIA 1 and X MIA 3, each consists of 33 students. <em>Cluster-random-sampling<\/em> method is used to determine the sample of this research. X MIA 3 is the control class with direct-instruction model and X MIA 1 as an experiment class applying <em>assessment for learning<\/em> by using <em>Go formative<\/em>. Data analysis shows the students\u2019 concept mastery of X MIA 1 is better than X MIA 3.
