However, excessive rain not only causes natural disaster but also distract peoples’ daily life. In example, clothes won’t dry and produce unpleasant smell due to rain. Smart roof system like Automatic Roof System seems to be the best method to resolve this issue. With the application of smart system, people have no worry of clothes not being dry either day or night. The purpose of this project is to design and build automatic roof system that uses the combination of Arduino technology with others input components such as light dependent resistor (LDR), rain sensor and infrared sensor. Experimental method has been adapted in this project by using Arduino UNO as the main controller and both LDR sensor and rain sensor as the input. After successfully creating the coding and complete the wiring, a smart automatic roof system able to prevent the clothes being wet. The automatic roof system, can work perfectly in two situations; 1) When the rain sensor detects the existence of water, the roof will automatically cover the clothes by open the roof. 2) When the light dependent resistor (LDR) sense darkness, the roof will be open to cover the clothes. From the result, it shows that affordable smart automatic roof system can help people to avoid wet from the rain and ensure their clothes are well dry.

Roger John and Prajesh Agilan Keywords: Automatic roof system, smart system, light dependent sensor, Arduino UNO, rain sensor Abstract: Demographical…

[11,14
