Abstract: RR counter is a device created to calculate the number of the human chest rises during breathing for one minute. Calculation of the chest rises during breathing is very important to ensure that normal human respiratory rate is obtained. Doctors and nurses in the hospital especially in ER must measure and record the respiratory rate readings manually. However, to measure the respiratory rate for infants and children under age of 4 is not an easy task. Thus, RR Counter is built to help doctors and nurses to calculate the chest rises for infants and children below 4 years old effectively. We are using flex sensor and with the help of Arduino device, we manage to gain count of chest rises movement using difference reading of resistance by flex sensor.
