EDON MAP – EARLY DETECTION OF NUTRIENTS FOR PULAU TUBA, LANGKAWI

Abstract: EDON map is a collection of water nutrient parameter developed for detection of abnormality of nitrate and phosphate reading. EDON map was developed by integrating spline interpolation method and water nutrient parameters. The developed EDON map can be used by communities that lived at Pulau Tuba, concerned government bodies such as Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), Department of Environment (DOE Malaysia) and Department of Fisheries (DOF Malaysia) to monitor this area effectively. This invention is found to be useful as it supports Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14: Life below water) which is to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
